PERFORMING blood glucose and ketonemia TESTS

1.
With clean and dry hands, insert the strip into the meter as far as it will go: you will hear an acoustic signal and the display will show Glu (glucose) or Ket (ketones). GlucoMen areo 2k automatically detects the type of strip inserted.
2.
Prick your finger and bring the top of the strip close to the drop of blood until you hear a beep.
3.
The result will appear on the display in just five seconds for blood glucose and eight seconds for ketonemia.

Dispose of the strip safely thanks to the integrated eject button located on the back of the instrument.

NFC data download

1.
Turn on the NFC function of your mobile device and install the GlucoLog Lite app (available for free on Google Play and App Store).
2.
Turn on the NFC function of your GlucoMen areo 2K. Press the power / confirm button and ▲ simultaneously for two seconds to access the settings menu ('SET'). Press ▲ / ▼ to scroll through the settings: when it flashes, confirm by pressing the power / confirm button. Press ▲ / ▼ to select ON, then confirm and exit by pressing the power / confirm button.
3.
Open the GlucoLog Lite 'Receive' page and hold the instrument close to the NFC receiver of your smartphone for a few seconds.

Data transmission will occur automatically: as soon as it is completed, the instrument display will show "End".

With the meter turned off, press and hold the Power / Confirm button for two seconds.

When "mem" appears at the top left of the display, use the ▲ / ▼ buttons to access the memory you want to consult: "Glu" for glucose and "Ket" for ketone bodies. Press the Power / Confirm button to confirm.
3.
To view the previous results on the display, use the ▲ / ▼ buttons.
4.
To change the selection, press and hold the Power / Confirm button for two seconds and then select "Glu" or "Ket" with the ▲ / ▼ buttons. Press the Power / Confirm button to confirm. At the end of the consultation, turn off the instrument by pressing and holding the power / confirmation button for three seconds.

With the meter turned off, press and hold the Power / Confirm button for two seconds.
2.
When "mem" and "Glu" appear on the display, press the Power / Confirm button to access the blood glucose results memory.
3.
In the "memory" section, press the power / confirm button again to consult the averages.
4.
View averages for 1, 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days using the Power / Confirm button.

At the end of the consultation, turn off the instrument by pressing and holding the power / confirmation button for three seconds.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers about GlucoMen areo 2K system

Yes, the meter turns off automatically after two minutes of nonuse. To turn off the instrument manually, press the shutdown key for about three seconds until the display is completely off, then release the key.

No, it is not possible to delete results saved on the GlucoMen areo 2k.

Always store the strips in environments where the temperature and humidity corresponds to what is indicated on the package and in the product instruction booklet. Do not leave the bottle in places where there is a risk of excessive heat, cold or humidity (for example in the kitchen, bathroom, under a window exposed to direct sunlight or in the glove box f a car).
Do not leave the bottle open, but be sure to close it properly immediately after removing the strip required for the test. Always keep the strips in their original bottle. Do not store the strips inside other unsuitable containers (bags, sacks, suitcases, etc.) and do not pour them into other bottles, even if they are made of strips of the same brand and type.

The serial number (SN) is located on the back of the GlucoMen areo 2k glucose meter and on the product packaging label.

The lot number (LOT) can be found on the bottle and on the label of the test strip packaging (both for blood glucose and ketonemia).

If you have encountered a problem while using the GlucoMen areo 2k, consult the “Troubleshooting” section of the user manual.

Open the cover of the battery compartment on the back of the instrument; remove the batteries and replace them with new ones (model CR2032), placing the + side facing outwards; replace the lid.

After replacing the batteries, the time, date, acoustic signal and markers must be reset.

No, when you change the batteries , the device will retain the test result data. However, you will need to reset the time, date, beep and marking symbols.
