The annual EASD meeting was held on September 21 2020. This year EASD meeting has been virtual only, due to the ongoing global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the continued uncertainty regarding travel, events, public gatherings and public health. We participated at the event with a virtual stand to present the GlucoMen Day CGM system. During the event many people have visited our stand, and subscribed for more information. We are proud for this success.
EASD is one of the largest networks for diabetologists worldwide with more than 5,000 active members from over 100 countries throughout the world.
Membership is open to scientists, physicians, students, postdocs and fellows, allied health professionals and nurses from all over the world who are interested in the field of diabetes or related diseases.
In the last five years EASD has become a significant European funding agency for diabetes research, and is continually striving to enhance awareness in Europe of the severity and magnitude of this devastating disease.
What happened this year?
Apart from presenting the latest results in diabetes and related research, EASD 2020 offered virtual 3D exhibition and spaces to connect with the global medical scientific community in real-time through chat, call, video and discussion hubs.
